Job Details

Title: IT Support
We are looking to hire an experienced IT Support tech to join the IT Department in Freetown; the position is responsible for providing computer networks technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly. More so, to monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs, and configures hardware and software, and solves technical issues as they arise. IT candidates with experience and understanding in programming and database language will be preferred.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
Setting up accounts for new users
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
Testing new technology
Possibly training junior staff

Job requirements

1. A University degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.
2. At least a year of experience as an IT support staff
3. Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
4. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
5. Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
6. Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
7. Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in IT support.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
