IT Support Engineer Required in Dubai

Zahr Freighters is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to maintain and support the company’s IT systems and technology infrastructure in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of computer hardware and software, and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently while ensuring smooth IT operations across the company’s freight forwarding and logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and IT-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
Troubleshoot operating system, application, network, and connectivity problems.
Set up and manage user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
Monitor basic network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Perform routine system updates, software installations, and maintenance tasks.
Assist with data backup, recovery, and protection procedures.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, software licences, and technical support requests.
Support logistics and freight forwarding software used for shipment tracking and operational activities.
Diagnose hardware faults and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
Implement basic IT security measures, including antivirus updates and access controls.
Coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors when required.
Prepare technical reports and document solutions to recurring IT problems.
Follow company IT policies and data protection procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Previous experience as an IT Support Engineer, IT Technician, or Help Desk Executive is preferred.
Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, and common office applications.
Basic understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, and DHCP.
Knowledge of IT security, antivirus tools, and data backup procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with different departments.
Relevant IT certifications are an advantage.
