IT Manager - Urbanise Required in Dubai

We are looking to hire an IT Manager for our client based in Dubai - which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a long-term contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable based on performance.

The role sits within the IT Department and reports directly to the Executive Director. We are looking for a passionate IT Manager who will be responsible for providing and managing top-notch technology services and support and the ideal candidate should also have experience in IT Services Management, System Design & Development, Testing & Implementation, and Post – Implementation Support.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee the establishment of the IT architecture and application requirements, vendor selection, and management of all the applications required for successful operations.
Manages all aspects of service agreements with outsourced vendors.
Prepare, disseminate, and manage IT-related budgets.
Manage consistency on Urbanise and other technology applications as per business requirements and act as a point of escalation for technical issues and support.
Perform software development lifecycle tasks, including component analysis, designing, developing, testing, customizations, and modifications to existing software.
Analyze user system and application needs, determine, and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet the requirements
Produce detailed design, technical documentation, data maps, and business process models as per established standards.
Engage in peer code review and design sessions to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance at all application levels.
Evaluate 3rd party software and impact of new technology integration: hardware and software requirements, costs, and return on IT investments and monitor the efficiency of applications
Conduct independent formulation, implementation of extensive unit testing as well as participating in integration testing and assume responsibility for the quality of developed software
Assist users in day-to-day activities, data reconciliation, functional training, and problem resolution.
Proactively analyze the current information technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and opportunities.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

B. Sc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required
Minimum 5 years of experience working with technology applications, managing information systems, and business analysis.
Experience with Urbanise platform
Strong knowledge in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse business problems.
Project Management skills and expertise.

Availability:

Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum of 30 days after accepting the offer.
