Job Description

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems as needed.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's data and network infrastructure.
Provide technical support and assistance to employees, addressing any IT-related issues or concerns promptly.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
Develop and maintain documentation related to IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement new technologies.
Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in the field of IT administration.
Assist in IT projects and initiatives as assigned by IT management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ITIL framework or other IT service management methodologies.
Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
Knowledge of database administration (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
