Internal Audit Manager Required in Dubai

Brewer Morris is seeking an Internal Audit Manager for a market leading organisation based in Dubai. Reporting to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, the role will be responsible for identifying and assessing business risks, provide independent assurance over internal controls and offer real-time support and challenge to management when developing and implementing new processes.

The Role

Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments, coordinate audit activities and follow up on the timelines and gather and analyse relevant documentation and data.
Identify and assess areas of potential risk within the organisation.
Conduct detailed audits following established audit methodologies and standards.
Perform testing of financial records, transactions, and processes
Interact with internal stakeholders to gather information and insights.
Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Maintain detailed audit documentation and Present audit findings and recommendations to
Collaborate with management to implement recommended process improvements, Monitor,
and track the progress of corrective actions.
Participate in quality assurance reviews to maintain audit standards.
Stay current with best practices in internal auditing.
All ad hoc tasks and projects designated by the reporting authority

The Person

Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA. ACCA) and/or Masters Degree in related field with 8 - 10 years experience in a similar role
Leadership/management skills, including people management experience
A strong team player, capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with senior management
Proven experience of working effectively with senior stakeholders including the ability to deliver difficult messages with the ability to influence and drive change
Ability to think strategically with a hands-on pragmatic approach to implementation.
Customer focussed, with the confidence to deal with and influence at all levels
Commercial awareness and the ability to make practical recommendations that will add value to the business
