Information Technology Manager Required in Dubai

Adecco Middle East is inviting applications for IT Manager for one of our prestigious clients based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that support our business around the world. We’re seeking an experienced IT Manager who can join us on this journey, using his or her technological skills to setup our IT function. In this role, you will analyse our systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of network maintenance, and advanced industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day setup and efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.

Private equity/ asset management experience would be great plus

Key Accountabilities

Lead the setup of the IT function for client's including network, security, systems and service support

Build network and data security, running regular checks

Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems

Develop and implement IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation

Design train programs and workshops for staff

Conduct regular system audits

Run and share regular operation system reports with senior staff

Lead IT projects including system implementation, system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration

Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

Audit systems and assess their outcomes

Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Manage contractors and other IT team members

Technical Skills:

Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring

Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions

Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems

Expertise in data centre management and data governance

Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

In-depth understanding of IT governance frameworks, strong knowledge of IT best practices and protocols, operational risk management, and in-depth knowledge and expertise of operations, including IT practices

Qualifications and Experience:

10+ years of experience working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree in technology or computer science

Ability to manage personnel

Proven leadership skills

Strong creative and analytical thinking

Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Industry certification in the following: MCSE, CCNP, CCSA, CISA, CA, CCSP, ISC, ITIL
