Human Resources Business Partner Required in Dubai

Working as part of a small team in Dubai, this role will act as a business partner to provide generalist support to staff in each of the countries/operations within the IDG Group. They will also pro-actively support the development and roll out of HR initiatives which run across all locations.

Main focus:

a. Recruitment and selection for management roles, including advertising roles, shortlistling and interview/selection.

b. Provide direction, support, advice and guidance to team leaders/management with routine tasks and requests, including performance management, behavioural or attendance concerns. Ensure advice and guidance is in line with company policy, labour law and best practice.

c. Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations across the countries of operation. Regularly review policies and practices to maintain compliance internally and externally. Recommend best practice and communicate changes to managers and staff.

d. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practice and new technologies in human resources and talent management. Advise on the development of effective employment policies and practices across the company.

e. Respond to employee queries and concerns. Ensure awareness of relevant policies and procedures in place to support the employee experience including eg: grievance policy.

f. Ensure development and roll out of the performance management system for managers and staff. Ensure probation reviews and ongoing reviews are understood and well delivered.

g. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and/or terminations.

h. Ensure internal HR database (HRIS) is populated and maintained. Use the resulting data and metrics to inform business and management processes eg: to enhance the retention of staff.

i. Compile monthly reports for all HR activities including joiners, resignations and terminations.

Qualifications/Experience:

At least 3 years previous experience in Human Resources, with direct responsibility for the full range of HR support to a business area
CIPD (or equivalent) qualified
Strong knowledge of HR best practice. Sound general knowledge of employment law and regulations
Advanced knowledge of working with HR systems and using resulting metrics
Excellent communication and people skills
Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally
Good understanding and experience of the full recruitment process
Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities
Ideally will have worked with multi-national employees, with exposure to labour laws, working environments and cultures across Central and SE Asia and East Africa

Salary Range: Dhs 12,000 - 16,000 per month. Generous holiday entitlement, good healthcare cover, flexible working.
