About the Role
Here at Howden Group Holdings, we are transforming the way we deliver HR services to our business, and this is an exciting time to join our evolving HR function as we look to drive commercially aligned and strategic HR support to our stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver ambitious people plans, managing a transformational and change focused stakeholder groups, supporting leadership and employees across our business. This is a varied role as you will provide HR support for the fast-growing and highly profitable business, whilst also playing an active role in shaping the structure of HR in your region.
You will role model HR best practice; establish credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels; support innovation through advising, informing, challenging, and facilitating discussions with leaders in equal measure on a wide range of issues – all in the context of a rapidly evolving and growing business.
The successful incumbent will bring with them prior experience of embedding consistent HR practices and will have a demonstrable track record of delivery within fast-paced, highly commercial, and entrepreneurial environments. In addition, he or she will have experience of delivering beyond the day-to-day operational remit and working closely with the Head of HR and colleagues within the Centres of Expertise to deliver wider HR strategic initiatives and priorities, supporting the strategy and growth of the group.
Key Accountabilities
HR Business partner to the country management team to translate business strategy and Group vision / goals into an aligned and integrated People Plan for the country.
Works with the Head of HR as a strategic partner to the Howden UAE team, to make sure people strategy, practices, and policies are aligned across TMEA region.
Guides and develops our Line Managers on HR matters and HR Policy to make sure we deliver our HR services aligned with our Global People Practices.
To act as an advocate and champion for our company core values
Attracts and retains talent, embedding performance management, deploying recruitment plans, succession planning, talent management and organisation development to deliver strong impact of critical HR processes.
Ensures the people-related planning, employee related issues, processes and initiatives are appropriately managed, in line with best practice while engaging with senior stakeholders
Partners with line management and employees to enhance employee engagement, improve work relationships, and increase productivity and retention.
Identifies training needs for teams and individuals and develop training programs accordingly while evaluating the effectiveness of these programs
Works collaboratively with the Group HR Centres of Excellences (e.g. Talent, HRS, L&D, Recruitment, Reward) to continuously improve the offering to the business.
Leads delivery of the annual compensation and bonus process and an approach to reward that ensures a robust and transparent process.
Uses data from HRIS, People Surveys and market intelligence, combined with personal influence to inform decision making and provide business insight, to make positive change
HR reporting: designs, develops, and runs value added HR reports.
Able to convert data into insights to inform proposals and influence people matters to solve business challenges or opportunities
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Proven HR Business Partnering with a solid understanding of all HR disciplines with experience in fast-growing and transformational organisations
A hands-on HR practitioner. In this role, you will work on both strategic and operational HR matters developing effective relationships with key stakeholders
A self-starter who can proactively define process improvement opportunities, streamline, and simplify HR structure and processes as needed.
A business savvy HR professional with strong transformation and change experience, who demonstrates change agility and can see the HR strategy as an enabler of business success
Ability to influence and manage challenging stakeholders and business leaders
Able to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment with ambiguity
Able to challenge confidently whilst maintaining credible relationships as well as handling a range of difficult conversations and situations
Demonstrable experience with HR Metrics
Superb coaching and mentoring skills
