JOB SUMMARY: Provides direction and coordinates the activities of OPD Clinics Nursing Unit to maintain proper professional and administrative procedures to meet SG Hospital Nursing standards according to Joint Commission on Accreditation (JCIA). Participates in the planning and implementation of integrated preventive-curative nursing care programs ensuring that hospital and nursing objectives, standards of nursing care and practices, policies and procedures are being implemented in OPD Clinics Nursing Unit. Reports to the Nursing Director through the Nursing Supervisor and/or Assistant Nursing Director all the ongoing activities and problems within the unit.

SCOPE: Responsible for all aspects of administrative, functional, technical direction of the nursing services provided in OPD Clinics Nursing Unit to maintain high standard. Makes decisions in consultation with Nursing Director for administrative issues, P. C. Director and specialty clinic chiefs for technical issues. Keeps both Nursing and P. C. Director and Chiefs of Specialty clinics informed of the related services rendered, observation, and reinforcement of hospital regulations through scheduled and periodic spot checks.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education:Bachelor degree in Nursing; few units in master’s degree of Nursing Administration is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of ten (7) years of nursing experience plus three (3) years in head nurse or unit manager position specializing in OPD Clinics Nursing Unit or related specialty.
Knowledge/Skills: Excellent managerial, communication, and leadership skills. Expert in all aspects of nursing theories and practices. Matured individual with demonstrated competency in clinical and leadership skills.
Equipment Operated: Can operate all medical equipment in OPD Clinics Nursing Unit, computer
License: MOH registered nurse (RN)
Language: Fluent in English
Job Conditions: Ability to work effectively with others in a multidisciplinary setting.
Personal Requirements: Participates actively in organization’s activities without personal reservations.
Travel: Not required
