The Role: Graphic Designer & Production Specialist

We are seeking a versatile Graphic Designer with a strong background in physical production and environmental design for live events. This critical role focuses on the design, specification, and execution of all visual elements—from large-scale signage and 3D mock-ups to intricate wayfinding—ensuring every visual touchpoint reflects the high standards of Colour Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

Environmental & Experiential Design:
Design high-impact visual assets for event environments, including large-format signage, custom installations, backdrops, stage designs, and promotional items.
Create and adapt designs for 3D mock-ups (using software knowledge) to visualize how graphics will integrate with stages, sets, and custom-built structures for client presentations.
Production & Print Mastery:
Act as the primary liaison between the design team and print/fabrication vendors in Dubai and the region.
Expertly prepare, quality check, and proof files for a variety of large scale printing machines and materials, including precise file setup for bleed, cut lines, colour matching, and substrate selection (e.g., vinyl, fabric, acrylic).
Ensure all designs are technically accurate, structurally sound, and adhere to local production standards.

Collaboration & Branding:
Work closely with Project Managers, Set Builders, and Creative Directors to maintain Colour Dubai's reputation for excellence and ensure all graphics strictly adhere to client branding guidelines.
Utilize Sketch for any digital assets required for on-site interactive screens or web displays.
Asset Management: Organize and manage a comprehensive library of event-specific design files and production templates.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, with significant time spent in an event production, exhibition, or experiential agency environment.
Portfolio: A robust online portfolio is mandatory, clearly demonstrating expertise in large-format printing, environmental design, and physical production artwork.
Software Proficiency (Core): Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Digital & 3D Tooling:
Proven proficiency in Sketch for digital and screen-based design.
Experience in either creating or integrating designs into a 3D modelling software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, or high proficiency in perspective rendering).
Technical Production Expertise: In-depth, hands-on knowledge of large scale printing specifications, prepress workflows, and material specifications for fabrication.
Communication: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to articulate complex technical design specifications clearly to vendors and non-design staff.
