The Plot Pictures is GCC and MENAT’s first independent narrative studio. Our focus is to create a diverse slate of hyperlocal independent films, TV series, web series that find their space in both local and global audience. Our goal is to internally have a diverse team that is representative of the audience we wish to serve.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer & Video Editor, who can create visually compelling designs, engaging video content, and create adaptations of available material that effectively communicates messages, enhances brand identities, captures the attention of the target audience, and is shared used by cinemas. The Graphic Designer and Video Editor job profile requires you to collaborate with stakeholders, and other members of the team to conceptualize, design, and edit graphics and videos across various mediums.

An ideal Graphic Designing and Video Editing candidate will be one with knowledge of the latest designs and software, a team player, and an excellent communicator who would be able to take directions from written or spoken ideas and translate them into captivating designs that connect.

Responsibilities:

Create and design graphics using various Adobe channels, including Photoshop & Illustrator
Editing video files such as trailers and social clips by clipping, adaptations, branding, and adding overlays and text using video editing software’s such as After effects and Premiere Pro
Collaborate with the distribution team to ensure that all graphics and videos are aligned with the brand and messaging.
Create and design photo and video assets for social media platforms and other digital channels.
Trailer & open layered poster adaptations for multiple cinemas in the region per movie. (Up to 600 adaptations/sizes mixed between video and photo)
Manage and prioritize multiple design projects and ensure that they are completed on time and to a high standard.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in video editing and graphic design.
Use the brand guidelines and layouts while receiving and incorporating feedback from team members to refine and improve designs.
Edit and manipulate video footage to create visually engaging and cohesive videos for Social media channels.
Understand the narrative and objectives of the video content and develop a storytelling approach through effective sequencing and editing techniques

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in a similar position of at least 2 years
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout composition, and video editing techniques.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other relevant tools.
Attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics.
Ability to manage multiple tasks related to designing simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Adaptability and willingness to incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
Knowledge of motion graphics, visual effects, and audio editing is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
