General Accountant Required in Dubai
We are a Travel Destination Management Company and an online premium ecommerce marketplace operating in the UAE. We offer exclusive deals in the UAE providing a one-stop, one-click shop complete with luxury experiences, lifestyle services, travel management solutions and destination expertise worldwide.

Duties and Responsibilities (mostly recording, bookkeeping, journal, and maintenance):

Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
Preparing budget forecasts
Processing tax payments and VAT returns
Manage all accounting transactions
Prepare budget forecasts
Publish financial statements in time.
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
Audit financial transactions and documents
Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Comply with UAE financial statements, policies and regulations
Monitoring spending and budgets
Auditing and analysing financial performance
Financial forecasting and risk analysis
Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
Keeping account books and systems up to date.
Preparing monthly and annual accounts
Corporate document maintenance
Projecting cost calculations
Liaising with external auditors
Processing employee expenses and payroll
Costing for projects
Data gathering
Receiving and storing invoices
Using digital systems to keep records and create payments
Preparing and posting journals
Logging daily entries in accordance with accounting policy
Collect payments from the clients

What we’ll do in finance:

Ensure timely bank payments
Monitoring spending and budgets
Pay to external stakeholders (vendor, suppliers, and partners).
Send automated invoice and receipt to customers and clients.
Prepare all financial reports

Requirements:

Work experience as an Accountant in the UAE for more than 5 years.
Industry knowledgeable in Travel/DMC/Hospitality/Events/Ecommerce Industry.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
Hands-on experience with accounting software like Zoho, Oracle, SAP, FreshBooks and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Excellent attention to detail
Good time management
Strong commercial acumen
Good problem-solving skills
Analytical thinking
Relationship building skills
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
Holding a UAE Resident Visa is an added advantage
