Front-End Design Engineer (ReactJS) - Dubai

About the role
We are seeking a creative and technically capable Front-End Design Engineer to join a product team on a 12-month extendable contract in Dubai. The role blends user-centred design thinking with hands-on front-end development to deliver polished dashboards and interactive 3D interfaces.
What you’ll do
• Apply Design Thinking to translate product problems into intuitive UI solutions.
• Design and build dashboards and rich, interactive 3D user interfaces that surface complex data clearly.
• Develop reusable React components and UI patterns for consistency and scalability.
• Integrate with backend services using REST APIs and WebSockets to deliver responsive real-time experiences.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (designers, backend engineers, product owners) in an Agile environment.
• Ensure quality by writing unit/integration tests and maintaining CI/CD best practices.
• Contribute to technical reviews and help raise the bar on front-end engineering and interactive design.
Must-Have Skills
• Experience: 5+ years in UI/UX, interactive design and front-end engineering.
• React: Deep practical knowledge of React (Hooks, Context API); Redux experience is a plus.
• Languages & Styling: Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills; experience with Tailwind CSS and Styled Components.
• Integration & Workflows: Comfortable with REST APIs, WebSockets, Agile workflows, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing: Familiar with testing frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine.
• Mindset: Product-focused, detail-oriented, and able to balance design quality with delivery timelines.
Engagement
• Contract Length: 12-month initial contract with possibility to extend.
Location
• Base: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (on-site or hybrid as per project requirements).
