Financial Accountant Required in Dubai

Handles daily accounting transactions within the respective business unit, mainly focused on shareholder companies

Job Objectives

Responsible for maintaining the Financial Accounts
Record transactions in the books of accounts with completeness and accuracy for all Cost Centers
Coordinates activities and answer queries for shareholder payments
Provides supporting invoice and other documentation, necessary for incoming payments for bank purposes
Support banking relationships
Keeps a complete track of all payments to shareholders with definite distinction of the nature of payments
Verifies and posts all transactions in the system.
Performs periodic reconciliation of bank and GL account balances
Issues regular shareholders’ statement of accounts to the group
Assists in preparing month-end closing tasks
Prepares the periodic reports for H&C transactions with the group
Collects and examines account information necessary to reconcile financial discrepancies
Support with other Ad-hoc requests from management
Analyzes accounting alternatives to suggest financial actions
Ensure that all files are maintained properly for audit and compliance
Ensures confidentiality by keeping financial information secure

Work Activities

General accounting activities for Cost Centers
Performing data input entries in accounting system
Shareholder payments accounting and reconciliation
Recording of assets, liabilities, revenue & expenses in Accounting system
Ensuring adherence to group accounting and controlling guidelines
Assisting in internal and external audits

Required qualifications:

Accountancy qualification(CPA or ACCA)
University education in accounting, finance or business
Minimum 5 years of practical accounting experience preferably at Group/Corporate level
Consolidation and IFRS Experience
Nice to haves:

Group Consolidation knowledge
Advanced Excel and/or Financial Modelling Skills
