Finance Manager Required in Dubai

Main Responsibilities:

Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Responsible and accountable for formulating strategic and long-term financial business plans.
Responsible for hierarchy and scalability in chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements and has ultimate authority over classification and booking of all transactions.
Monitor ongoing financial operations within a company, such as payroll, invoicing, cash flow and other transactions.
Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organisations such as the Inland Revenue
Responsible for cost reduction opportunities across the organization
Prepare and manage Annual Budget budgets and produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines.
Manage the monthly, quarterly, annually financial closure processes, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud.
Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
Participate in strategic financial projects including upgrades/phase-two implementation of ERP software.
Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring.
Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance and identifying areas for potential improvement
Focal point for contracting outside services for tax, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial services.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education: Master’s DegreeField of Specialization: Accounting / Finance, Related Training / Certifications: ACCA, CPA, CA
