As Finance Manager, you will report into the Global Head of Business Development for TUI Blue Hotels Dubai and have a dotted-line to the Finance Director of the TUI Group. This is a brand-new role therefore one of the significant parts of the job will be the business start-up process wherein you will play a key role in setting up the entire department for the new destinations. You will be establishing and implementing standards and best practices for the new hotels coming in the systems.
The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with frequent international travel required.

About The Job
As Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage the Dubai Financial function and be required to be a key decision maker to execute the company’s business plans according to the Company’s business model.
Under this umbrella, you will also take a wider leadership role covering commercial contracts and office management.
You will be responsible for leadership of the Dubai finance teams and the day-to-day running of the finance function, developing a robust control environment and reporting framework, working closely with the Hotels Leadership team to develop the business to grow its remit.
You will be responsible for all the financial reporting, accounting, cash management and ensure proper accounting and financial records and systems are maintained. This will include ensuring that TB Dubai remains compliant from a local legislation perspective.
You will be responsible for the annual budget process, monthly forecasting and ensure proper asset management process are in operation.
You will manage and oversee the month end process including insight into the key financial drivers of performance and production of relevant KPIs.
You will lead the TB Dubai finance team, developing and coaching direct reports, providing the right support and direction to create an appropriate environment for a high performing team and delivery of a clear succession plan.
Ultimately, you will drive the integration of further markets into TB Dubai model and work closely with the central finance team to develop and evolve the commercial model as well as partner and support the TB Dubai Senior Leaders with all senior stakeholder engagement.
The role will be required to work closely with the Heads of Department in Product Development & Delivery to create an annual budget by product that can be used for margin evaluations. It will be required to closely monitor the actual achievement of these budgets closely with the Product Delivery team and to challenge any prudence or overspend through the budgetary cycle.
The function has many arrangements with suppliers that involve guarantees or prepayments across multiple source markets for one hotel. It will be expected that you will be able to provide a view of the group performance versus this risk in order to highlight / escalate to senior management any potential areas of P&L impact that can be mitigated through joint collaboration within the source markets.
About You
A qualified financial accountant with 7-10 years PQE, with a track-record of strong financial and management reporting experience
Knowledge of SAP Finance module, HFM and competency in Excel are an advantage
Excellent business English both written and spoken.
Trilingual i.e. English, German, French and any additional language i.e. Arabic, Asian and African will be advantageous
Ability to work with multinational colleagues and gain buy-in from a range of stakeholders
Ability to manage relationships with all key stakeholders across a range of seniority and roles
Experience of working at a senior level and the ability to balance Finance Manager responsibilities
Knowledge of the tourism sector and/or online activity is an advantage but not essential
Strong business and financial acumen and an inquiring mind
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise and manage several requirements concurrently
Results orientated and able to manage change in a fast-paced environment
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence all levels of management and effectively manage teams and communication processes within the organization
