English Teacher Required in Dubai

An initial training session will be offered to successful applicants to ensure a smooth transition into the classroom
Hiring teachers for schools across the UAE (Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain)
The UAE Government Schools develops and monitors reform activities, with a focus on standards-based, student-centered education
Through the current Educational Reform, teachers will be instructing Emirati students in grades 8 to 12
The successful candidates will be teaching a variety of English subjects including but not limited to English as a second language, English language and English literature.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and issue educational content including notes, tests, and assignments.
Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment. Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
Plan and implement educational activities and events.
Ensure the classroom is clean and orderly.
Prepare and distribute periodic progress reports and semester report cards.
Attend parent-teacher meetings.
Evaluate and document students’ progress.
Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.

Skills Required:

Knowledge in instructional methods appropriate for students at the respective grade level.
Desire and ability to work with students at the specified age level with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their educational goals.
Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet many and varied deadlines; manage small and large groups of students in a classroom environment; and communicate effectively with students, parents, school administrators and other staff, including the ability to discuss topics which may be sensitive.
Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems; and word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
Familiarity with computers (PC and Apple) and their use in instruction to enhance student learning.
Working knowledge of various office and video equipment. Knowledge of educational software.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field.
In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
