Role Description The Database Administrator role at NOVUS-NICMAR Start-up Club is a part-time remote position focused on managing and optimizing the club’s data systems. In this role, the individual will design, implement, and maintain databases that store information related to projects, members, events, and resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring database performance, ensuring data integrity and security, performing backups and recovery, and applying updates or changes as needed. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to understand data requirements, supporting data-driven decision-making, and creating basic documentation for database structures and procedures.Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and Databases.
Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and Data Modeling.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data and optimize database performance.
Familiarity with common database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage part-time responsibilities alongside academics.
Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Prior experience with student clubs, projects, or internships involving data management is an advantage.
