Company Accountant Required in Dubai

The role holder is solely responsible for managing the Finance Department of two sister companies, operating in Interior Design and Landscape Design. The candidate should have experience in effective financial planning and budgeting; implementation of robust financial controls and financial risk management framework; ensuring adequate financial liquidity and working capital, funding and investment requirements and provisioning for accurate and timely financial accounting and day to day operational services.

Salary circa 8-10k - depending on experience


Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Professional certificate (i.e. CPA, CMA or CA)
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience across the finance and/or accounting functions, with at least 4 years of leading finance department/function
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
Has experience using QuickBooks accounting system
Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
Maintain the financial health of the organization
Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L and Balance Sheet)
Manage the cashflow of the company
Manage the receivables and payables of the company
