Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team at a well-established FMCG retail company with over 20 years of industry presence. The ideal candidate will be a semi-qualified or post-graduate in Commerce or ACA, with a strong background in inventory accounting, team leadership, and compliance with trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
• Handle inventory accounting within an ERP environment, ensuring accurate stock valuation and reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Manage import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with trade facilities and regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial performance.
• Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
• Semi-qualified or post-graduate in Commerce, Accounting, or ACA.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the FMCG retail industry.
• Proven experience in inventory accounting within an ERP environment.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• In-depth knowledge of import and export documentation and trade compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary & Benefits:
• Competitive salary of AED 7,000 - 8,000 per month.
