Job Hiring: Carpenters – Furniture Industry
Position: Carpenter
Industry: Furniture Manufacturing
Location: Umm Al Quwain, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
• Assemble and install cabinets, doors, windows, wall cladding and other wooden structures.
• Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects on time.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to supervisors.
• Participate in fit-out projects as applicable (experience in this area is a bonus).
• Operate CNC machines for carpentry tasks (is a must)
• Ensure that joinery items are manufactured and installed according to design specifications and standards.
Qualifications:
• Proven work experience in furniture manufacturing or wood workshop
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a carpenter in the UAE, preferably in the furniture or joinery field
• Skilled in custom-made furniture, wood cutting, assembling, fixing, and finishing
• Responsible for leading the whole production process of joinery projects for customers
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately
• Familiarity with carpentry tools, machines, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Experience in furniture assembly or carpentry
• Physically fit and capable of manual tasks
• Team player with a positive work attitude
