We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele with a relentless passion to not let any sales opportunity fall through the cracks. You will be at the forefront of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

About the Role

As the primary Sales lead your goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. This encompasses market and user research to have an awareness of best practice in developing new business and servicing existing customers, but also requires having a big picture understanding of the activities required at our company stage to improve our customer lifetime value and reduce our customer acquisition cost. You will join a dynamic startup environment to support company objectives for long-term and sustainable growth, with the flexibility to work remotely or onsite.

Responsibilities

Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Source and develop new customers and partners
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Prepare sales proposals ensuring adherence to guidelines and operations
Keep records of deals, sales, revenue, invoices etc. up to date
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers and partners
Deliver regular updates to customers and partners on company developments
Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople

Key attributes and special skills needed

5 to 6 years of working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or in a relevant role
Proven sales track record
Experience in customer support is a plus
Excellent verbal communication, proposal writing and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Hubspot, Salesforce)
Proficiency in English
Market knowledge
Ability to build rapport
Time management and planning skills
BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Up-to-date knowledge of lead-generating techniques (e.g Google Ads)
Experience that would be useful is the workings of marketplace platforms, technology, and SaaS.
