Job Opening: Assistant Accountant
We are a fast-growing accounting and tax consultancy based in Business Bay, Dubai, seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who is comfortable handling daily accounting tasks and supporting a small, collaborative team.
About the Role:
• Support day-to-day accounting activities including data entry, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close tasks and preparation of basic financial reports.
• Help maintain accurate records for billing, receivables, and payables.
• Work with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and prepare spreadsheets and summaries in MS Excel.
• Collaborate with senior accountants to support VAT filings, payroll inputs, and ad-hoc financial analyses.
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with UAE regulations and internal procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years’ accounting experience in the UAE is mandatory.
• Practical experience with accounting packages (QuickBooks/SAP or similar) and strong MS Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational ability, and time-management.
• Good communication skills and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
