Your Mission:
As part of our Finance team, you'll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here's what you'll take charge of:
• Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
• Communicate discrepancies to the management team, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates that help us reduce outstanding receivables.
• Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by proactively communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts and providing exceptional support.
• Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement and driving process enhancements.
• Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied properly, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are promptly resolved.
• Perform daily cash management duties, including recording bank deposits, updating and distributing cash receipt logs, and posting cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
• Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail to support timely payment resolution.
• Gather and process data for reporting to support invoice creation and delivery.
• Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to accounts receivable so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
• Support month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
• Lead individual projects that improve team processes and procedures, delivering measurable impact to the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
• Exercise integrity and confidentiality in all financial reporting, and comply with national and local financial requirements at every step.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
We're looking for someone who's ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or a related finance role (an Associate's degree or equivalent is a plus).
• Skills: You're a proactive problem-solver with strong math skills and an understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping. You thrive on attention to detail and exceptional time management.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient with NetSuite and experienced working with CRM systems like Salesforce. You're also comfortable with Google Drive and intermediate Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs).
• Mindset: You're an articulate and collaborative communicator who treats company and partner information with confidentiality, and you embrace process improvement in a fast-paced environment.
