Job Title: Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing and collections, with a focus on insurance accounts receivable.
Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain insurance accounts receivable for the organization
• Review and analyze insurance claims to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure timely and accurate payment
• Work with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and discrepancies
• Communicate with patients regarding their insurance coverage and billing inquiries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all insurance billing and collections activities
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections, with a focus on insurance accounts receivable
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare billing software
