Accounting Manager Required in Dubai

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, and be able to provide strategic financial guidance to help drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting
Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Manage the annual budgeting process, including preparing budget reports and monitoring budget versus actual performance
Manage the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate filings
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and support to ensure the team is operating at maximum efficiency
Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Work closely with other departments to identify areas for cost savings and to ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately

Required Skills and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Leadership, management and team-building skills
Experienced in Cost Accounting, Budget Management and Complex Accounting (Stock-based compensation, Capitalized Software, etc.)
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, while meeting tight deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively
Knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools, such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Big 4 accounting firm or startup/public company accounting experience is preferred

Experience:

4+ years domain experience
8+ years work experience
