Accounting Assistant Required in Dubai

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time on-site role located in Dubai, UAE. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and other accounting related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Processing and recording all accounts payable invoices.
• Preparing weekly reports by vendor detailing accounts payables status.
• Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Ensuring general ledgers entries are made to the right accounts.
• Verifying and investigating discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements received.
• Preparing payments in an organized and timely manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT return reports.
• Preparing and administering sales data excel file and reporting daily sales performance by division/store.
• Raising sales invoices and credit notes whenever required.
• Ensuring credits and collections are applied correctly.
• Assist with bank reconciliations when required.
• Assisting with yearly financial audit.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise or any other accounting ERP system.
• Ability to learn systems quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented
• Strong skills with Microsoft Excel such as xlookup, pivot tables, etc.
• Ability to work with multiple currencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information.
• Proven experience in either accounts payable or receivable.
