Accounting Assistant — Support the Finance Team
Atlantic Comfort Systems, Inc. is seeking a reliable Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day finance operations at our San Francisco office. This role is ideal for someone with a solid grasp of basic accounting tasks, strong numerical accuracy, and the desire to contribute to improved financial processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with routine accounting duties including processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, and maintaining general ledger entries.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, expense reports, and regular financial records.
• Execute payment orders and coordinate vendor payments.
• Help streamline and document accounting procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support ad-hoc accounting projects and collaborate with other teams as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks for the accounting department such as organizing financial files and records.
Skills And Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software — familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Excellent data entry accuracy and strong attention to numerical detail.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
