Accountant (Accounts Payable) Required in Dubai

Role Purpose

· Check proper recording of liabilities; ensure timely settlement according to contractual payment terms

· Check and ensure all payments are supported with approvals according to corporate authority matrix

· Review and ensure that the supporting documents of invoices are valid and complete

· Prepare and record monthly accruals

· Perform monthly closing of AP functions and report accurate schedules as per the defined TAT

· Facilitate internal/external audit by providing necessary information and documentations

· Generate Providers’ Remittance advices, suppliers’ reconciliations, and accounts breakdowns timely

· Prepare relevant AP reports as needed

· Coordinate with other departments and provide support to other functions/departments as required

· Ensure proper and timely response to queries/requests received from Finance Support / stakeholders

· Contribute to advancement of AP processes by providing feedback and process enhancement ideas

Key Requirements and Qualifications

· Minimum 4 years of experience in handling routine accounts work and maintaining computerised accounting systems, out of which 2 years should be in an Accountant position

· Experience in Oracle Financials

· Professional qualification like CA, CPA or CMA is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce

Skills and Competencies

· Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage

· Good analytical, execution, problem solving and decision-making skills

· Proactive and results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work

· Advance level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions

· Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables

· Good knowledge of health insurance concepts

· Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
