Project Mechanical Engineer - Sharjah

Required Experience:
• The ideal Candidate should have exposure in working of MEP services
• At least 10 years of overall experience at least 5 years in UAE
• Should be a design engineer, site supervision experience shall be an added advantage
• UAE Driving license and own car

Skills:

AutoCAD, Revit MEP (preferable), MS Office & Detail drafting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Continually review the main contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of site works with regards to MEP services and report to the project Manager on the same.
• Mechanical design, relevant calculations and site supervision of services like HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Drainage, Water supply etc.
• Preparation of detailed design layouts, schematics, sections and coordination drawings.
• In conjunction with the document controller, ensure that the filing/logging of the MEP documentation is undertaken in line with the project handbook and continually monitor the same.
• Review Contractor’s installation method statements.
• Reviewing, approval / commenting on shop drawings, coordination drawings, method of statements and material submittals
• Discussing and solving complexities with client representatives, sub consultants, manufacturing departments, sub-contractors and suppliers
• Developing a project specification along collaboration with different disciplines, often including those from other engineering disciplines either in-house / contractors or client side.
• Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the mechanical services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices and construction schedule.
• Attend project, site progress and any mechanical services related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
• Attend the Project Manager’s internal meetings.
• Prepare the MEP section of the Project Managers monthly progress report
• Traveling to the various sites to complete physical inspections and site surveys (if required).
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work long hours, if situation demands

Qualification:

• Graduate (B.E. Mechanical)
• Should have excellent communication in both verbal and written
