Job Description

The GIS developer is responsible for developing ESRI ArcGIS Server applications and Desktop. The candidate will have design, development, implementation, and support experience of solutions in Desktop and Web development based on ArcGIS

Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in ESRI ArcGIS Development

Educational Qualification & Certifications:

Bachelor’s in GIS, Computer Science/IT, or a related field
ESRI Technical Certifications – Developer/Enterprise (preferred)

Required Skills:

Esri ArcGIS Server 10x
Esri ArcGIS Desktop 10x / ArcObjects
Esri 3D Analyst
Esri Spatial Analyst
Esri Geoprocessing Analyst
Esri Data Interoperability Extension
ESRI City Engine
Esri ArcSDE/Oracle 11g/12c geodatabases
AJAX, JavaScript, VBScript, or Python
Knowledge of ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise architecture
Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, etc.

Additional Skills Preferred

Experience in SDLC like Agile Methodology Preferred
Experience in User Experience (UX) and Testing Preferred
Development Experience in ArcGIS WebADF, Silverlight and FLEX Preferred
Able to develop the following Map Services:
Esri GeoEvent processor & Globe Services
Schematics Services & Stream Services
Cache Services & Custom Esri Services
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010/2012/2015
Microsoft .NET C# (CAML, XML, ASP, VB.NET, etc.)
.NET Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, REST, WCF, etc.)

Roles & Responsibilities

Development of user required applications and/or customize existing applications within the GIS solution based on analysis and design documents provided.
Performing technical acceptance testing.
Obtaining user’s approval of the developed/customized functions and features.
Providing technical assistance to GIS users.
Investigate technical problems and provide solution form GIS software package.
Designing purpose oriented GIS geo-processing workflows.
Delivering on-site knowledge transfer sessions to GIS users.
Implementing customization for both ArcGIS Server Application and Desktop.
Running analysis using ArcGIS Desktop extensions: 3D, Spatial and network analysis.
Developing GIS tools and standalone applications.
Performing GIS system installation, configuration and tuning.
All other duties as assigned

Terms and conditions: 

Joining time frame: 4 weeks (maximum 6 weeks). 

The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Bahrain and shall be deputed to one of the leading Government Organizations in Bahrain.
